Lake Boys’ Basketball Camp

June 17-20, 2019

Where:            The Lake Local Schools Gymnasiums! Activities will take place in the Main Gym, Middle School Gym, and Field House Court 1.

 Who:                All boys entering grades 1-8

When:              Campers entering grades 1-3:

·         June 17-20 (Monday-Thursday) from 10:30 am-12:00.

·         Report directly to the Middle School Gym each day.

                        Campers entering grades 4-8:

·         June 17-20 (Monday-Thursday) from 8:30 am-12:00.

·         Grades 4-8 will report directly to the High School Gym.

Campers should arrive approximately 10 minutes before the start of camp each day!

Please be prepared with gym shoes, athletic shorts, t-shirts.

Water fountains are available, but individual water bottles are acceptable to bring to camp.       

Cost:    Grades 1-3 $30 per camper. Payable online  

Grades 4-8 $60.00 per camper. Payable online

Camp extras

*Each session will include age-appropriate instruction on the fundamental skills of the game. All instruction will be provided by the Lake Local coaching staff and Varsity/JV players.

 *Campers need to bring a positive attitude.  Promoting good sportsmanship, having fun, and being competitive are the goals of the camp.

*Each camper receives a T-shirt and basketball for his participation in the camp.              *Campers also will have a chance to compete in games and daily contests.

 LAKE BOY’S BASKETBALL

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER LEAGUE

Purpose: The Lake Boy’s Basketball Staff would like to increase the opportunity of the participation for it’s Junior High program during the summer months. We believe a 6^th, 7th,and 8th grade league would be an excellent extension of our summer basketball school.

Objective: All Participants will have the opportunity to compete and improve their basketball skill level during the “off-season.”

Goals: All teams will be under the supervision of the Lake Boy’s Staff and it’s Varsity players. All teams will be required to play man to man half court defense during the course of each game. Teams may full court press the last 3:00 minutes of each contest... only if they are behind.

*** All teams will substitute at every 3:00 minute interval assuring close to equal playing      time.

***Teams will be organized  by the Lake Coaching Staff.

*** Coaches and Varsity- J.V. players in the program will officiate.

*** Teams will be under our supervision, there will be no parent coaches nor                         “special practices” for any team.

*** There will be a  tournament the last day of Competition. Championship                                                                     game and consolation game.

*** Each team will play two back to back games each morning. (Depending on                       # of Participants)

***Games will be played between 9:00 a.m.and 12:00 p.m. (Depending on # of    Participants). We will play 4, 6:00 minute quarters.

*** Games will be played at Lake’s High School Gym

Who’s Invited: Any Boy entering the 6^th, 7th, or 8th grades for the 2018-19 school                                      year.

Cost: $35.00 includes Team T-Shirts.*** ($20.00 if a participant of Basketball School )

Dates of Participation: July 9...9:00-11:00, Organizational and instructional Day for al league participants.
