After School Enrichment Program

Western Row Elementary School (Grades 3 and 4)

Weekly Spanish 

Registrations will be accepted until two days before a class begins, classes are full or cancelled; whichever comes first.  Please be prompt in returning registrations since class sizes are limited and classes have filled very quickly in the past.

Students attending grade 4 at Western Row will be dismissed at the end of the day (3:00) and told to meet in our ASEP room (room number/location will be noted on the confirmation letter).  Students will be permitted to bring a light snack to enjoy while waiting for grade 3 students dismissal time at 3:45.  Our 4^th grade students should plan on working on homework, chatting with friends, etc. in an orderly fashion while our ASEP monitor staff will be watching over them.

If your 4^th grade student attends the Mason City School’s Extended Care Program, these students should report directly to Extended Care Program at the end of the day and will be sent to the After School Enrichment Program area at the appropriate time (3:45).  These students will be returned to ECP at the end of their classes.

When the 3^rd grade students are released they will meet up with the 4^th graders for ASEP attendance, meet their instructors and monitors and walk as a group to their assigned ASEP classroom.  The exact meeting room number/assignment will be noted in the confirmation letter that will be sent home with students through their backpacks.

ASEP confirmation letters are sent through children’s backpacks as classes are confirmed.  If you register for multiple classes, it’s very possible that all classes will not be confirmed at the same time.  This simply means that you may receive multiple confirmation letters.  Confirmation letters will contain all important information about pick-up of students, snacks, etc.

Weekly Spanish with Ines Benguria, Certified Teacher

Learn to speak Spanish in a fun and engaging way using a variety of methods including role-playing, games, verbal and written activities, etc.  All students are invited to attend this program which is designed for students who have never participated in our Spanish program or for those students who participated last year.
