Avon High School’s Drama Club presents Wyrd Sisters, a play by Stephen Briggs based on Terry Pratchett’s comic novel. On a flat, disc-shaped world called, appropriately enough, Discworld, magic is real. Witches are real. And when Duke Felmet of Lancre murders King Verence and steals the throne, and Verence’s infant son, the true heir, is delivered to a local coven of three witches, it’s up to Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and Magrat Garlick to set things right. This November 22, 23, and 24, join the AHS Drama Club for a whimsical adventure on Discworld, where fools are fools and evil tyrants are really evil, and where stories have a peculiar power all their own.
