Dear Parents, Grandparents, Sponsors and Friends of
University Elementary,
What a whirlwind the past four months has created for our
school system. The COVID pandemic has introduced
many challenges. As parents of UES students, Paul McClenahan and I are starting
a call to action to ask for help in preparation for this coming school
year. WE NEED YOUR HELP. If you are anything like us, we have to work;
therefore, we must have a game plan to keep our kids as safe as possible. We,
as parents, can respond and make choices to benefit the school to help our
kids. NOW IS THAT TIME.
While the state and district are providing many resources to
keep our students and staff safe, we want to make sure our Wildcats are over-prepared. In a recent conversation
with Mrs. Mainerio, the main needs are as followed:
-
Plexiglas Barriers
-
Technology for students to get a 1:1 ratio
-
Technology for teachers to improve a virtual
option experience
The cost factor is a real challenge we face and now is the time
to act. In the coming weeks, you will
see a Local Level page being advertised to help with this need. I urge you to donate (even a few dollars) to
this cause. Please help us face this
challenge head on so this school year can move forward in the safest way
possible.
Very respectfully,
Carla S. Anderson
Paul McClenahan
