Blended Math 1 is the first course in a sequence of courses designed to provide students with a rigorous program of study in mathematics. Content includes radical, polynomial, and rational expressions, basic functions and their graphs, simple equations, fundamentals of proof, properties of polygons, coordinate geometry, sample statistics, and curve fitting. The content for this course will be delivered in a blended format, including online instruction coupled with face-to-face meetings. Students will be expected to attend face-to-face meetings on Wednesdays during the regular high school summer school session with additional face-to-face meetings available Monday-Thursday, 8 am-12 pm.
The first meeting for this course will be Monday, June 8, 2015. We will begin our Wednesday meetings on June 10th of that same week.
A mandatory orientation meeting for students and a parent or guardian will be held at Thomas Worthington High School (library) on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
Feel free to contact the course instructor, Micah Hudson, with questions: mhudson@wscloud.org
Reminder: Do NOT enroll in summer school if your camp, athletic event, or vacation plans conflict with scheduled high school credit courses.
Students will not be notified of acceptance into a course but will be informed if a class is full or cancelled.
Room numbers and rosters will be posted on the front door on the first day of class.
Your child may qualify for free or reduced tuition if they currently qualify under the federal lunch program. A screen at the end will ask for a waiver and apply any applicable discounts if desired. Your student's ID number is located in the upper left corner of every screen in Infinite Campus (listed as "Student Number").
