Description: CPI Initial Training will encompass all aspects of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Course (CPI) resulting in those successfully completing the course gaining certification in CPI. The course is based on the philosophy of Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security. CPI training includes the following components: The CPI Crisis Development Model; Communication Skills; Safety Interventions including Physical Intervention and Holding Skills; Decision Making, and Post-Crisis Team responsibilities.
Audience: Open to Ayersville Local Schools Staff (teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators). In addition, a limited number of seats are open to the public.
**You must attend on both dates (Jan 14 & Feb 2) to obtain full CPI certification. You only need to complete one sign-up to attend both trainings**
