Description: CPI Refresher Training will encompass all aspects of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Course (CPI) resulting in those successfully completing the course gaining certification in CPI. The course is based on the philosophy of Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security. CPI training includes the following components: The CPI Crisis Development Model; Communication Skills; Safety Interventions including Physical Intervention and Holding Skills; Decision Making, and Post-Crisis Team responsibilities.

Audience: Open to public school district employees and NwOESC staff (Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Administrators, Related Services) in the Defiance, Henry, Fulton, and Williams County areas.

PLEASE NOTE:

The session will begin promptly. Arrive 15 minutes in advance to get settled and check-in.
Registration is required to receive a Certificate of Attendance for CEUs.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring a pen to write info in book and take test.
Bring a snack, if desired. Light snacks and beverages are available for purchase on-site (debit/credit only).
