Description: CPI Initial Training will encompass all aspects of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Course (CPI) resulting in those successfully completing the course gaining certification in CPI. The course is based on the philosophy of Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security. CPI training includes the following components: The CPI Crisis Development Model; Communication Skills; Safety Interventions including Physical Intervention and Holding Skills; Decision Making, and Post-Crisis Team responsibilities.
Audience: Open to public school district employees and NwOESC staff (Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Administrators, Related Services) in the Defiance, Henry, Fulton, and Williams County areas.
Training Dates: February 23 & March 2 | March 3 & 14 | April 6 & 13, 2022 | May 2 & 6
**You must attend on both dates (e.g. Feb. 23 & Mar. 2; Mar. 3 & 14; Apr. 6 & 13; or May 2 & 6) to obtain full CPI certification. You only need to complete one sign up to attend both trainings**
