This Hilarious Comedy and winner of 2 Tony Awards will be appearing on the EA Drama stage for the 1st time March 10-13, 2022.  Follow 6 slightly awkward but lovable spellers AND 4 GUEST SPELLERS TAKEN FROM THE AUDIENCE EACH PERFORMANCE, this could be you!!!! as they compete to be Champion of the 25th Annual Bee. Watch as past Champion Rona Perretti and Vice Principal Panch test the spellers on crazy words with hysterical sentences.  

This charming musical examines the tough and competitive world of spellers and their parents who push them, tease them and sometimes support and love them.  This production is part of the 2022 CAPA Marquee Awards and will be competing for several nominations following our winning Best Musical and Ensemble Awards for RENT, 2019.

This is the 1st time EA Drama has produced this musical and is the first staged show during the COVID19 pandemic. Audience members MUST wear a mask at all times in the building.
