COURSE DESCRIPTION: A Level II course is designed to build on the skills learned in Levels I and II. Participants learn to swim the crawl and elemen-tary backstroke at rudimentary proficiency levels and are introduced to the scissor and dolphin kicks. Participants learn the survival float and increase the time duration for treading water. Participants also learn the rules for headfirst entries and begin to learn to enter water from the seated position at poolside (if the pool is 9 ft. deep or deeper). On successful completion of Level III, participants achieve basic water competency in a pool environ-ment. Limited to 10 students.
