After School Enrichment 2022-23
Note -- All ASEP classes are held at your students school. Students will dismiss at the end of the day and meet their instructor at the sign in location (cafeteria). Parents are required to pick up students at the conclusion of class at the front entrance of the building.
Better Babysitters Course! (TUESDAYS)
Does your student have ambitions of someday babysitting? Your child will learn the skills needed to be a Better Babysitter! All students will receive their own first aid kit to take home, along with a student manual and certificate. This class is appropriate for students 10+ and is interactive and fun with role-playing and hands-on instruction.
Students will learn:
· First Aid & Safety
· Infant & Child CPR with mannequin instruction
· Care of the choking child and infant
· How to handle emergencies
· Creative problem solving
· Job professionalism and how to create a marketing flyer
· Hands-on practice with diapering, bottle feeding and infant care
· Creative age-appropriate activities
Attendance in class is required to earn the class certificate. If an absence occurs, students are able to make up the class online with the instructors at a later date.
Tuesdays -- 10/4, 10/11, 10/25, 11/1 ; classes from 3:15-5:45 PM
(NO Class on 10/18 due to a MCS closure)

on the Go Painting! (WEDNESDAYS)
Students of all levels are invited to participate in this fun, in-person painting class! Painting supplies will be provided to students that enroll in the class. Join and enjoy expanding your creative abilities!

Dodgeball! (WEDNESDAYS)
With MHS student Mr. Adam!
A great time for the kids to play a popular gym game and just have FUN! It will be exciting no matter their experience. Soft foam balls will be used to play and enjoy the different types of this popular gym game!

Chess
W/ MHS Chess Team member – Mr. Nikil!
Hello, fellow chess enthusiasts! This year’s MI after-school chess program is getting ready to start. Kids of all skill levels are welcome to sign up. We will go over a variety of skills and strategies to help improve your game.

RUN CLUB (THURSDAYS)
Run for it! We help students train to be able to run a 5k. Run Club focuses on creating brave confident leaders. Our no guilt, no shame, super positive philosophy gives kids the confidence to get out of their comfort zone and get healthy! With a powerful training plan that builds endurance and self-esteem, students will learn there are no limits to what they can do!
Enrollment is open to students in 5th and 6th grade!

Hip Hop Dance! (FRIDAYS)
WEBBY Dance Company is offering an action-packed, exhilarating Hip Hop/Jazz class! Our instructor will introduce your child to beginning hip hop, jazz, rhythm/movement, choreography, and dance combinations in a studio-style setting. WEBBY dancers learn techniques such as: pivot turns, jazz squares, barrel turns, hitch kicks, and more. Students will benefit and learn dance effectively by building their creativity, coordination, concentration, memory, and self-confidence, all in a positive atmosphere!
