CAHS CHORALE SPRING TRIP DONATIONS

From our CAHS Chorale President.

I wish there were an easy way for me to convey what it’s like to be a member of Chorale. When I joined in my freshman year of high school, it was my safe haven (and honestly, it still is). Imagine being in a far less cinematic version of Glee where we sing spirituals and madrigals and the occasional showtune, (and also go to classes - which I noticed they don’t actually do very much of in Glee), and you’ll understand a bit of what it's like. Four years of musical education in this supportive space not only helped me confront my stage fright, but also improved my music theory knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to sing in Latin, German, French, Hebrew, Portuguese, Italian, and Douluo. I am honored to have been elected as this year’s Chorale president, and I have many goals for our group. Our most audacious goal is to go to New York City on our first competition trip in three years (these trips were an annual tradition before COVID). However, skyrocketing transportation and lodging costs mean that we need to raise about $25,000 to make this trip as equitable and accessible as we need it to be. We've raised over half of that amount but, this is where you come in! If you are passionate about music, education, and building community, I ask for your support. Donate and share this local level link and ask for friends and family to donate as well.

Simply click on the "register" to submit online donations - 100% of your donation goes directly to the groups trip account. Visit our website to learn more about us & check us out on YouTube.
