The Marilyn Beach Scholarship honors the career and life of a Northwood teaching icon.  It goes to a successful student who masters the English language.

POWELL A. LAYTON AWARD

The Powell Layton Award memorializes Northwood’s founding principal and honors his legacy of excellence in education.  It goes to a student who exudes leadership and academic success.

SANDY MIKESELL AWARD

This award honors the life of service led by Sandy Mikesell.  It goes to a student who excels in school while demonstrating a love for service.

JOHN MUSIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship honors the life and commitment to community of John Musial.  It goes to a student who excels academically and who is headed into the field of science.

LOUIE SHIVELY SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship honors the life and career of Louie Shively.  It goes to a student who excels in the TOPS Tech graduation pathway.

DANNY SMITH SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship honors the life of former Blanchard resident Danny Smith.  It goes to a student looking to further his/her technical education.

JAMES MILLARD SMITH SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship honors the life of Blanchard community member James Millard Smith.  It goes to student who excels academically and who has made plans to further his/her academic experience.

LOGAN GREER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

In honor of Logan Greer, a lifelong North Shreveport / Blanchard resident, who valued both hard work and education, the Logan Greer Memorial Scholarship will grant one graduating senior who is planning to attend a technical college, trade school, or apprenticeship program a one-time scholarship of $500.
