The Breathing Association's TTS Certification program issues two types of certifications: (1) Continuing Education Units (CEU) for counselors, social workers, nurses, respiratory therapists, etc. and (2) Provisional or Full Certification as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist. Both CEU certificates and Provisional or Full Certifications are only issued once the course is completed, and all required forms and payment are received by The Breathing Association.

The Breathing Association’s Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist Training Course (CTTS) is appropriate for health professionals from many disciplines, such as nursing, medicine, psychology, dentistry and dental hygiene, social services, counseling, addictions medicine, respiratory therapy, and health education. This course prepares professionals to provide treatment for tobacco dependent persons in many clinical and community settings.

This course is accredited by Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTP). This course, like those offered by several other institutions across the country, has been designed to meet the  standards of the Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD) for training, competencies, and credentialing of TTS trainees; the US Public Health Service Guidelines for treating tobacco use, and evidence-based recommendations of authoritative groups in the field.

Fee includes access to course material, Learning Assessment, Continuing Education Certificate and Provisional or Full Certificate (Full Certification requires passing grade on test).  The fee is required to hold your reservation.

All fees must paid before the certificate will be released to the participant.
