Magnet
Testing for High School
Parent
Instructions
If you were
notified by a Caddo Parish high school that your child did not meet the
testing requirements for admission into one of the magnet programs (7th
grade LEAP score of 730 in both ELA and Math), you can register your child for
a Saturday testing opportunity. Students only need to register for the
sub-test (Reading and/or Math) in which they did not meet entrance criteria.
Students must score at the 50th percentile (or higher) on this exam
to meet the testing requirements for a high school magnet program.
On test day, students must bring proof of payment and a valid picture identification (ex: school I.D., state I.D.). Current Caddo students must have their seven-digit Caddo ID number. Parents will not be permitted to enter the building, but may drop students off and wait in the parking lot during testing. Testing will take approximately an hour and a half for both subjects (less for one subject only).
This test administration is only for current 8th grade students who will be entering high school in the 2024-2025 school year.
Test results will be mailed to the address provided during registration within two weeks after the test date.
There will be no additional testing dates
offered by Caddo Parish.
