It’s often said that food brings us together. Whether served at a five-star restaurant or in your grandparents’ kitchen, it functions as one of society’s greatest connectors, capable of bonding strangers and building community. Learn the science behind creating great food in our culinary arts camp. Led by DACC’s Culinary Arts team, campers will get a fast-paced, fun and hands-on education in food preparation and marketing, learning the basics of what it takes to produce and serve a multi-course summer barbecue lunch (to be enjoyed by all students and staff on the final day of camp). This engaging, real-world look at the culinary arts industry will encourage students to get creative and experience the power of culinary connectivity through the eyes of an executive chef. Dress requirements: campers MUST wear long pants and tennis shoes. Rising 7th, 8th and 9th graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.
