Evidence Based Interventions to Support Positive Behaviors

Social and communication challenges often result in behavioral challenges. These challenges limit students from accessing the educational and social opportunities in their community. This workshop will provide a brief review of understanding 'why' behaviors occur by looking at the Cycle of Behavior.  After the brief overview, a variety of evidence based interventions and strategies will be presented to address a variety of sensory, social, and communication issues.

Due to high demand, this is a repeat offering of the same session that was offered on October 27, 2017

Participants are encouraged to come to this in-service with another
staff member. Interventions and strategies will be provided for participants to
develop and use in the classroom and/or with specific students.

Follow-up support in your district with Denise Caruso will be
available.

Lunch will be for one hour on your own
