City of Mason Fire Department: Fire Adventure

Step inside City of Mason Fire Station 51 for a behind-the-scenes look at the lifesaving work Mason’s first responders do every day. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the fire apparatus bay, examine equipment up close, and learn about the City of Mason Fire Department's preparations for fire, rescue, and emergency medical calls. This is a great opportunity to meet with City of Mason firefighters and paramedics who serve the Mason community and learn about the daily operations of the Mason Fire Department.


When: September 26th from 1:00-2:00 pm

Pollinator Palooza Program

With Warren County Park District- Armco Park


Celebrate birds, bees, butterflies, and all of the other creatures that make our gardens grow during Pollinator Palooza while enjoying learning opportunities.


When: September 26th from 12:00-2:00 pm (DROP IN STYLE)

Matthew 25: Ministries

Inspect, sort, and pack supplies for humanitarian and disaster relief.

Home, Vehicle, Personal Safety Course

This 2-hour class provides information on home, vehicle, and personal safety. Learn hands-on techniques to defend yourself in a dangerous situation. This includes hands-on training covering low-level self-defense moves and simulated self-defense situations. 


When: September 26th from 9:00-11:00 am

Mason Kiwanis: Service Project!

Help with recycling and repurposing bicycles to donate to Community Holiday Help!

The Grizzly Golf Clinic

Putting and Chipping Clinic at the Grizzly: Students will have the opportunity to learn the basics of short game techniques at the Chip & Putt Clinic at the Grizzly Golf and Social Lodge, one of Mason’s wellness amenities. Whether you’re new to golf or looking to improve your skills, this hands-on clinic offers expert tips and fun practice focused on chipping and putting – key shots that lower scores and build confidence on the course. Participants are welcome to bring their own clubs; however, clubs can be provided at the discretion of The Grizzly.

Joe Barr American Legion Post 194

Students will have an opportunity to tour our Post, learn about the history, mission, and purpose of the American Legion, and hear from a panel of Veterans on their experience of service.

Trail Maintenance and Invasive Species Removal at Armco Park

Job Shadowing – Public Service

Participants can gain real-world insight into a career in public service through a job shadowing experience at the City of Mason Service Center. Participants will team up with a Service Coordinator to explore how the Service Department supports the City’s daily operations – from maintaining streets and parks to managing city vehicles and facilities. This hands-on opportunity offers a closer look at the essential work our Service Department does to keep the Mason community running safely and smoothly for our residents, businesses, and visitors. This is a great opportunity for participants to explore potential career paths in municipal operations and maintenance that do not necessarily require a college degree.

Comet Cupboard: Holiday Help

Kings Hammer Soccer

Come join us for this Journey Day technical camp focused on ball manipulation, dribbling moves, passing and receiving techniques, finishing, and decision making to help you improve your confidence as a player. This FUN and fast-paced camp offers 1000s of touches on the ball and plenty of technical skill repetition in pressurized situations and small-sided games.


When: September 26th from 9:00-11:00 AM OR 12:002:00 PM

Where: MECC Grass Field


Cost: $35.00

Maximum registration amount: 30 students per session


Registration is available for 1st -3rd grade students.

Kings Hammer Soccer

Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee provides the opportunity for casual play and friendly competition! Players will work on catching and different Disc throws while learning the rules of the game. Ultimate is a self-officiated sport, and good sportsmanship is expected. Running/jogging on the gym floor is expected. Gym shoes are mandatory.  No Flip-flops, Crocs, boots, or dress shoes.

Multisports

Students will have fun learning and playing different sports. Sports they will be learning include soccer, Wiffle ball, etc. This will be a positive and fun environment for the students to explore different sports, where everyone is encouraged to try something new in a non-competitive setting.

French toast Cooking Classes with The Learning Kitchen!

Fabulous French Toast! The Learning Kitchen will host MCS students in 3rd - 6th grade to learn how to make 3 delicious types of French Toast and toppings!

Lacrosse Clinic

Join us for an Intro to Lacrosse Event, created specifically for students who are new to the sport! Available to all students K-8th grade with an interest in learning a new sport! All equipment will be provided, just bring your energy! ALL EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED, and our highly skilled MHS players and coaches will help the newest lacrosse players learn the ins and outs of the game outside on the turf!

Love Like JJ

What: Random Acts of Kindness campaign 

Students organize their very own Costume Drive to support LOVE like JJ's Annual Costume Drive! For this event students will collect a maximum of 5 costumes and then prepare them for LOVE like JJ's Costume Drive by checking that the costumes are in good condition, place them in a gallon size ziploc bag and label the costume's bag with the size and description.  More detailed information will be emailed out to the families who register.

A Day at Camp Joy!

Students will spend the day at Camp Joy engaging in hands-on team-building, nature-based learning, and reflective activities designed to foster connection, communication, and personal growth. From a warm welcome and icebreakers to large group challenges and a peaceful closing circle, the experience is both enriching and aligned with academic and social-emotional goals.
