BROWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEXT SCEAM Club - Grades 3-5 ONLY
Science Sound Mapping - Listening to the world around us and creating a visual map of the sounds we hear in the outdoors. We’ll use symbols, marks, and words to represent each sound’s location and direction.
Conservation - Our final week, Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District will be here with an interactive watershed model where students can watch pollutants carried by runoff to a stream. We’ll be talking about ways we can protect our local waterways.
Engineering - Using natural materials to create shelters for small critters around Brown.
Arts - be the most knowledgeable one on the playground. You will identify the trees around Brown and then create a small field guide by leaf rubbing and labeling.
Math in Nature - Observing symmetry, angles, and spirals in nature and while sketching what we find in our journal.
We'll meet in Room 24 from 3:30-4:30 pm on the following dates: October 8, 15, 22, 29, November 5 and 12, 2025
Teacher: Mrs. Kirkland
