The Squad is a fun and inspiring mentorship program connecting young girls (Grades K–8) with players from the Olentangy High School Girls Basketball team.
Our goal is to build friendships, confidence, and a love for the game—while giving our high school athletes an opportunity to develop leadership and community pride.
Pen Pal Connection: Each youth player is paired with a high school buddy for the season.
Letters & Challenges: Exchange fun notes, small items, and basketball-inspired challenges throughout the season.
Free Game Entry: Squad members get free entry to all Olentangy Girls home games when wearing their Squad t-shirt.
Game Recognition: Squad members are recognized at halftime during select varsity home games and can join the player tunnel for introductions!
Special Events: Participate in the Kickoff Night, Skills & Drills Mini-Clinic, and End-of-Season Celebration.
Prizes & Rewards: Earn stickers, team gear, and other fun prizes through attendance and participation.
Open To: Girls in Grades K–8
Duration: 10 weeks (basketball season)
Location: Olentangy High School and select gym events
Cost: $20–25 (includes Squad T-shirt and rewards)
