Advanced Placement: An Opportunity for Gifted Learners

The Advanced Placement Program (AP) provides students with the opportunity to earn college credit, and can serve as a platform for gifted learners through academic rigor and enrichment opportunities.

This three-hour workshop helps to satisfy the professional development requirements outlined by the state of Ohio for AP teachers, by exploring differentiation and curriculum compacting to meet the needs of all students.

Participants will have the opportunity to share best practices for gifted learners in AP and discuss how course placement and other policies may impact options for students.
