Come learn all about Chinese language and culture at Britton! In this club, we will learn concepts and phrases in Mandarin including the four tones, introducing ourselves, and counting to ten. Additionally, we will play lots of cultural games, try writing Chinese characters, try Chinese foods, and celebrate the Spring Festival, also known as “Chinese New Year!” Students who have been in Chinese Club before will review information learned from last year as well as extend their knowledge with additional challenges and writing opportunities. Third graders from Norwich are welcome and will walk over to join us in the art room. I am so excited to start a new year with this club. Prior to teaching art, I taught elementary Chinese for three years after studying Mandarin for eight years, and it’s a joy to teach this curriculum on the BNLC campus.

We will meet from 3:45-5:00 pm on the following dates: January 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2026
