Percussion Music Club is an after-school program where second grade students explore music through hands-on playing of pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments. Students will make music by striking instruments such as drums, xylophones, rhythm sticks, and other classroom percussion to discover how sound, rhythm, and teamwork come together. Through movement, games, and group music-making, students will learn to keep a steady beat, play rhythmic patterns, and listen carefully to others in an ensemble. They will explore the difference between pitched and non-pitched instruments, experiment with dynamics and tempo, and build coordination using whole-body learning. This club supports musical growth while strengthening focus, cooperation, and creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
