Join DACC's Biotechnology team for Forensics Camp. Students
will jump into the role of forensic scientists as they work to solve three
fictional cases -- a car crash, a robbery, and environmental neglect. They will
gather evidence from a crime scene, process blood evidence to learn about
genetics, identify unknown white powders using chemistry skills, recreate a
crash model using physics, identify microbes, and much more. The atmosphere
will allow any student that would like to live a CSI or NCIS dream to come
true. The activities promote objective-based learning that compels the
application of science through real-world problem solving and are aligned with
grade-appropriate Next Generation Science Standards. Rising 7th, 8th and 9th
graders are invited to join us for this summer camp.
