AFJROTC OH‑871 is one of the most active, visible, and community‑embedded youth leadership programs in Central Ohio. From August 1st, 2026 to the present, our cadets have delivered extraordinary service and leadership across the region—making our program a meaningful platform for organizations seeking authentic community engagement and broad regional visibility.

Our cadets engage directly with more than 10,000 families and students annually through major district, city, and regional events, including:

• Columbus City Schools Back‑to‑School Fair
• Resource & Affordable Housing Fairs across Central Ohio
• Community festivals and neighborhood events
• Civic ceremonies and public performances
• Mayor Ginther’s Columbus State of the City Address
• Elementary and middle school visits across multiple districts
• Special Teams competitions, including:
• Air Commando Team
• Archery Team
• Awareness Presentation Team (APT)
• Academic Bowl Team
