Let Gahanna's Theatre Department take you back in time to a classic!
Join the Rydell High senior class of 1959. That is where the the duck-tailed, hot-rodding Burger Palace Boys and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking Pink Ladies in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoke the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical.
Head greaser Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their Summer Nights as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as Greased Lightnin, Born to Hand Jive and more recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. With an eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions, Grease continues to be one of the post popular musicals across the globe.
Please come join and support the Theatre Department in their inaugural musical in the new James Singer Auditorium.
While all doors will be unlocked for the convenience of the public, please note that the entrances closest to the Auditorium are the doors in the North Commons (Including the Main Entrance).
