Whitney Plantation March 4-6

Whitney Plantation is a non-profit museum dedicated to the history of slavery, situated on a historical sugar, indigo and rice plantation which operated from 1752-1975. The museum preserves over a dozen historical structures, many of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Whitney Plantation historic District.

Students will also visit the New Orleans Civil Rights Museum as HBCU (Xavier University of Louisiana and Dillard University) and learn about the history and legacy.

New York June 8-11

Students will visit Bryant Park, NY Public Library, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Wall Street and Financial District, 9/11 Memorial, Times Square, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Radio City Music Hall, Central Park, Downtown, Little China, Greenwich Village, and Chelsea Market.
