After School Enrichment 2026-27

 Note -- All ASEP classes are held at your students' school. Students will dismiss at the end of the day and meet their instructor at the sign in location (cafeteria). Parents are required to pick up students at the conclusion of class at the front entrance of the building. 

Multi Sports (Mondays)

Students will have fun learning and playing a different sport each week with Coach Jason. Activities will include soccer, Wiffle ball, ultimate frisbee, and more. This program provides a positive, inclusive environment where students are encouraged to explore new sports, build skills, and try something new in a supportive, non-competitive setting.


Available to ME students in 3rd and 4th grade

Hip Hop Dance! (MONDAYS)

WEBBY Dance Company offers an action-packed, high-energy Hip Hop class held immediately after school dismissal. With a curriculum featuring over 400 dances, students are constantly introduced to fresh, exciting routines that keep them motivated and inspired.

Our instructor introduces dancers to beginning hip hop fundamentals, rhythm and movement, choreography, and fun dance combinations—all taught in a supportive, studio-style environment. WEBBY dancers learn foundational techniques such as pivot turns, jazz squares, barrel turns, hitch kicks, and more.

Available to ME students in 3rd and 4th grade

Art Naturally - Creative Arts & Sciences! (Tuesdays)

Art Naturally enrichment classes invite students to explore the world around them through art. Inspired by nature’s lines, patterns, colors, and shapes, students create a new project each week using a variety of artistic mediums. These hands-on experiences encourage creativity and self-expression while allowing students to explore and create in different ways.

Please note: students will create different projects each session.

Available to ME students in 3rd and 4th grade

Tuesday – 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29 

Classes from 3:15-4:15 pm

Price: $65.00

Minimum: 8 / Maximum: 15

Jump Rope! (TUESDAYS)

Join the fun and healthy sport of jump rope! Students will learn basic skills using single rope and double-dutch—no prior experience necessary. Please be sure to wear gym shoes on class day. Jump ropes will be provided.

Bring a great attitude and lots of energy as you Jump Rope with MHS Student/Comet Skippers Team Members!

Available to ME students in 3rd and 4th grade

Bricks and Beyond! (TUESDAYS)

 

Bricks and Beyond offers a hands-on learning experience that combines theoretical and applied knowledge in classical mechanics. Through building and playing with motorized models, students will grasp the principles of classical mechanics. The program also fosters a mathematical understanding of how physical laws are integrated with supporting calculations. While working individually, students will have the opportunity to construct the models, making the learning process engaging and interactive. Kids learn, build, upgrade ,play and dismantle . 

Available to ME students in 3rd and 4th grade

pottery Hand-building and glazing (Wednesdays)

No need to be an artist!  Join us as we hand-build with clay.  We'll create some really cool pieces from clay that will get fired in the kiln.  Then we'll paint them using pottery glazes.  Don’t worry if you took the class before.  We do all new projects! Please note: If you are absent the day of painting your piece, it will be glazed white.

Available to ME students in 3rd and 4th grade. This will only be available this session!

Intro to Americal Sign Language (Wednesdays)

This beginner American Sign Language (ASL) class is taught by Juniors and Seniors from the ASL Honor Society at MHS. Students will receive a brief introduction to ASL with a focus on practical topics they can use in their daily lives. The class will begin with learning the alphabet and fingerspelling, followed by lessons on school classes, sports and activities, colors, family, food, and more.


Available to ME students in 3rd and 4th grade

Wednesday – 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30
