As part of our English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum, students in grades 3–8 will be using required novel bundles for their upcoming units. Why Personal Books Are Required: To build strong close reading and analytical skills, students will annotate directly in their texts during our in-depth book studies. Because of this hands-on practice, students must have their own copies, which they will keep at the end of each unit.

Grade-Level Details ·

Middle School (Grades 6–8): Students received their first novel at the end of last school year and are currently using it in their first unit. ·

Elementary (Grades 3–5): Annotating is a new practice for these grades this year. Teachers have carefully selected titles best suited for teaching foundational text annotation skills.
