Facilitated by Amy Kramer, General Education and Special Education Consultant.
Utilizing research based interventions in the general education setting is required for students who are struggling to meet the standards through typical instructional means. Most schools have Response to Intervention (RTI) structures in place to help facilitate this process.
This training is designed to help general education teachers and special education teachers alike gain resources for how to use and monitor interventions in the general education setting. The RTI process is designed to, ideally, prevent special education identification. However, general education teachers are required to show data of interventions, [if and when] an evaluation for special education is to take place.
