Fall Semester Online Gifted Book Study (Oct. 2 - Jan. 8)

Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom (4th edition) by Thomas Armstrong

Tuesday, October 2, 2018 - Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Featuring Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligence (MI) theory, this book includes strategies and examples that you can tailor to your teaching assignment. The author, Thomas Armstrong, offers practical applications for your classroom and ideas from colleagues in the ESC network. The book will be divided into eight reading assignments. Post your response to the reading in Google Classroom so other like-minded teachers in the study will have access and be able to comment and ask questions.

This book study affords you the comfort of your own space, in your own time, with no substitute plans to prepare, and earns 15 hours toward your Gifted Hours. Grab a colleague and do it together!

One hour of college credit is available through Ashland University; a one to two page reflection on the book is required to received credit. Contact Kris Dobbelaere (kdobbelaere@nwoesc.org) for more details.

The book for our study can be purchased online. Use ISBN# 978-1-4166-2509-4.

Facilitated by Mary Brandon, Gifted Teacher and Consultant.
