Westerville Central High School AP Exam Registration 2018-19

Westerville Central High School

AP Exam Registration Information 2018-19

Online Payment: Oct. 8-Feb. 28, 2019

We highly recommend that all students who take an AP course should take the AP exam. Taking AP exams can potentially earn you college credit and/or course advancement in college.  If, however, you DO NOT want to take AP exam(s), you MUST stop by the Counseling Office to pick up an Opt Out form.  This form would need to be filled out, signed by student and parent, and turned back into the Counseling Office before Nov. 9th to avoid fees.  Please see the important info below about deadlines and fees.

HOW TO PAY FOR EXAMS

Please visit www.locallevelevents.com to pay for your AP Exams. All you need to register is your student ID, parent email and a credit or debit card.

The cost for each exam is $94. If you receive free or reduced lunch, the cost will be reduced to $10 per exam with a cap of $30. Enter the Student ID # when asked for the Discount Code to receive the reduced price if applicable.

Any questions? Please contact Mrs. Monica Johnson, 614-797-6834 or johnsonm@wcsoh.org

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT EXAMS & FEES

  • The College Board has decided to move exam registration from the Spring to the Fall.
  • AP Exams will be automatically ordered for students unless the Opt Out below is turned in by Nov. 9th.
  • If a student initially opts out, but then decides to take an exam after the November 15 regular ordering deadline, the total amount owed for the exam would be the base exam fee + $40 late order fee (for example, $94 + $40 = $134). This $40 per exam late order fee will be owed even if a student is eligible for fee reductions. (For example, an exam ordered after November 15 for a student with a College Board fee reduction would have a cost of $10 + $40 = $50.)
  • If a student decides to cancel an exam order between Nov. 15, 2018 - March 1, 2019, the total amount owed for each exam would be $40 (the base exam fee is removed, and only the cancellation fee is owed). This $40 per exam cancellation fee will be owed even if a student is eligible for fee reductions.
  • If a student doesn’t take the exam ordered for them on exam day, the full exam fee ($94) will still be owed.  Students with fee reductions would owe $50.
