Bye Bye Birdie is the story of heart throb Conrad Birdie being drafted into the Army.  His teenage fans are weeping over losing their favorite celebrity, his manager is fretting over paying Conrad's contract, and Rosie his long suffering girlfriend just wants to get married.  Add a jealous steady boyfriend and an overbearing mother and you have Bye Bye Birdie.
