Huntington Parking Pass Application 2026-2027

$25.00 Parking passes will be available for pickup the first week of school with LTC Williams in the JROTC building. Uploaded vehicle insurance and registration cannot be expired. Check dates. Expired items will not be accepted. Student Parking Procedures & Expectations 2026-2027 School Year “Raise the Flag. Raise the Standard.” Driving and parking on the Huntington High School campus is a privilege, not a right. All student drivers are expected to operate their vehicles safely, responsibly, and respectfully while on school property. Failure to comply with these procedures may result in disciplinary action and the suspension or revocation of parking privileges.  

Parking Permit Fees Student Parking Permit

●        Cost: $25.00

●        All student drivers must purchase an official Huntington High School parking permit.

●        Parking permits must be properly displayed on the registered vehicle at all times while parked on campus.

●        Parking permits are non-transferable and may only be used on the registered vehicle. Student Parking Procedures Eligibility Students must:

●        Possess a valid driver’s license.

●        Register their vehicle with Huntington High School.

●        Purchase and display a valid Huntington High School parking permit.

● Maintain compliance with all school and district policies.   Entering Campus Students entering campus must:

●        Enter through designated entrances.

●        Obey all posted traffic signs.

●        Follow directions from administrators, teachers, campus supervisors, and the School Resource Officer (SRO).

●        Drive carefully and courteously at all times.   Student Parking Area The designated student parking lot is located at the beginning of the main parking lot. Important Students should not drive beyond the first speed bump unless directed by school personnel. Parking outside the designated student parking area is prohibited.  

Speed Limit

●        Maximum speed on campus is 15 MPH.

●        Speeding, reckless driving, racing, loud acceleration, or careless operation of a vehicle will result in disciplinary action.  

Parking Expectations

Students must:

●        Park only in marked spaces within the designated student parking area.

●        Display their parking permit at all times.

●        Lock their vehicle before entering the building.

●        Exit their vehicle immediately upon parking.

●        Take all necessary items with them before entering school. Students may NOT:

●        Remain in their vehicle during the school day.

●        Return to their vehicle without administrative permission.

●        Eat lunch in the parking lot.

●        Allow unauthorized students to remain in the parking lot.

●        Park in faculty, visitor, reserved, handicap, or fire lane spaces without authorization.   Dismissal Procedures At the end of the school day, students must:

●        Proceed directly to their vehicle.

●        Follow the designated traffic flow.

●        Obey directions from faculty, administrators, and campus supervisors.

●      Exit campus in a safe and orderly manner. Loitering in the parking lot after dismissal is prohibited.   Parking Violations Students parked outside the designated student parking area or who violate parking procedures will receive the following consequences: First Offense

●        Verbal warning

●        Parking violation documented by administration or the School Resource Officer (SRO)   Second Offense

●        Parent/Guardian conference with school administration

●        Parking violation documented   Third Offense

● Suspension of driving and parking privileges for nine (9) weeks   Fourth Offense

● Revocation of driving and parking privileges for the remainder of the school year.   Immediate Administrative Consequences The following violations may result in immediate suspension or revocation of parking privileges, regardless of the number of previous offenses:

●        Reckless driving

●        Excessive speeding

●        Racing or exhibition driving

●        Driving through unauthorized areas

●        Parking in fire lanes or emergency access areas

●        Parking in staff, visitor, or reserved parking spaces

●        Failure to obey school personnel

●        Leaving campus without permission

●        Allowing unauthorized passengers to remain in vehicles during the school day

●        Creating an unsafe environment for students or staff   Vehicle Searches In accordance with Caddo Parish School Board policy, any vehicle parked on school property is subject to search by school administrators or law enforcement officials when appropriate. Purchasing a parking permit constitutes consent to these searches.   School Liability The Caddo Parish School Board and Huntington High School are not responsible for:

●        Theft of vehicles or personal property

●        Damage to vehicles

●        Lost or stolen items left inside vehicles Students should lock their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside.   Student Agreement By purchasing a Huntington High School parking permit, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Huntington High School Student Parking Procedures and Expectations. I understand that driving and parking on campus is a privilege and agree to comply with all school and district rules. I understand that failure to follow these procedures may result in disciplinary action and the suspension or revocation of my parking privileges.
